Ford Kuga Review

Ford have invested a lot of design time and energy in producing the Kuga, all the expected rules concerning crossovers have been examined and the car that has been produced breaks all expected norms. Along with its all wheel drive the Kuga is also able to handle off road journeys comfortably. The exaggerated lines of its exterior are matched by the elegant style of its interior, which is full to the brim with every gadget imaginable.

The Kuga has a 5* NCAP rating making it one of the safest and economically efficient cars on the road. It covers an average of 44.1mpg and only produces 169g/km of CO2; the easy fuel system also makes topping up the tank simple.

Ford have designed the Kuga to have great all round vision and with its panoramic sunroof and parking assist camera you can pretty much see everywhere except underneath the car. The split style tailgate also makes loading goods into the boot a lot easier and tricks like quick defrosting windscreens and auto dipping rear view mirror adds to its class.

The car is a joy to drive, comfortable climate control air-con, rain sensing wipers, bright halogen lamps that are more environmentally friendly and a tyre deflation detection system to keep tyres at the optimum pressure. Drivers will feel well looked after in the Kuga, IPS, EPS, emergency brake assist, ABS all fitted into a rigid roll cage to protect the occupants.

The Kuga starts at £21,795 on the road but you get a comfortable, spacious and technologically stacked car for that. The developments on safety and the environment mean it is one of the leading cars for the next generation of motoring.
