Peugeot RCZ

The latest of the Peugeot offerings, the RCZ Coupe gives customers a hot sporty looking car at the price of a top range hatchback. It is curvaceous heaven, beautifully styled with sweeping lines, double bubble roof and a fast sleek look.  Although Peugeot are encouraging customers to heavily customize the car, the RCZ looks at its best with understated elegance.

The RCZ is fitted with the 1.6 litre or there is the 2.0 litre Hdi Sport diesel available. They give the car a smooth ride, agile and responsive, its steering is easy through the bends and holds the road well. While its six-speed gearbox gives a good, quick change through the gates.

Its running costs are not bad either, giving off 139 g/km of CO2 and travelling around 38.9 mpg and goes from 0-60 in 7.6 seconds. The designers have even managed to make it so the engines growl is more noticeable on the inside than on the outside.

The RCZ is also a roomy car, with a large boot that can be extended even further with the flat folding rear bench seats. The interior is lavishly fitted out, with plenty of leather and matt black instrument clusters, there are the usual additions of air-con, MP3 compatibility, UBS ports and a parking sensor. The RCZ also comes well equipped for protection, stability and with four air bags.

The RCZ is a return to class and style for Peugeot, a long overdue design worthy of the company’s 200-year history.
