Volvo XC60

The Volvo XC60 is a spacious five-seat car that is well-built, safe and a joy to drive. There is a large boot with plenty of room for luggage, shopping or trips to the DIY Garden centre. Volvo is renowned for its safety record and the XC60 has to be one of the safest cars on the road in its class.

This XC60 is a crossover that makes the grade, its powerful engines, whether you choose one of the two diesels or the 3.0 litre petrol engine. They all produce a fast, comfortable but quiet drive as the XC60 is well insulated from the noise outside. Good ground clearance and either front wheel or four wheel drive means it’s a home as much on country tracks as it is city streets.

In the XC60 Volvo have built a good, fashionable modern car with good fuel consumption and only emitting 154 g/km of CO2.

Inside, the cabin has an excellently thought out and constructed interior with a well-designed dashboard with plenty of controls and entertainment to keep the passenger occupied as well. With safety they are leading the way once more with their new City Safety system, which monitors the road ahead and if it thinks you are going to crash, it automatically applies the brakes. The wing mirrors indicate if another vehicle is on your blind spot along with the usual systems.

The starting price on a new Volvo XC60 is around £27,495 on the road for the starting model. These however, are cars that hold their value and you will not find yourself loosing out on its resale value.
