TV legend Sir David Attenborough is the celebrity most Brits would like to take on a road trip.
Nearly one in 10 people questioned chose the 91-year-old presenter of the BBC’s Blue Planet II, just ahead of Geordie cheeky chappies Ant and Dec.
The UK’s largest independent tech retailer, Ebuyer, collaborated with TomTom in the survey of 2,000 UK adults.

The X Factor’s Simon Cowell was the top choice for 35-44 year olds, with 8% of respondents choosing him. while Beyoncé was the most preferred celebrity road trip partner for 7% of 25-34 year olds.
Of course, celebrity sat nav voices are all the rage, so having a famous person as your road trip partner is not so far fetched.
“With his soothing dulcet tones, we are not surprised that Sir David Attenborough came out on top – his relaxing voice would be the perfect remedy for road rage!” said Amber Smith of Ebuyer.
The first episode of Blue Planet II, the BBC’s hit wildlife series, was the most watched programme of 2017 so far in the UK. It’s so popular that it reportedly caused internet problems in China when millions of viewers tried to stream it at the same time.
