Hyundai, Suzuki and Kia have topped the latest JD Power Survey as the most reliable car brands in the UK.
South Korea’s Hyundai ranked highest overall in JD Power’s 2018 UK Vehicle Dependability Study which is based on responses from 13,536 owners of new vehicles.
It’s thought that volume carmakers are winning out when it comes to reliability because emerging and new technologies in premium vehicles are resulting in more owner-reported issues.
Tech problems continue to be common for owners after 1-3 years. Common issues include Bluetooth/phone connectivity issues and voice recognition not recognising commands.
Hyundai achieved the least faults per 100 vehicles in the study, which measures problems experienced during the past 12 months by original owners of vehicles in the UK after 12-36 months of ownership.
